We research in two fields, environmental science and architecture, as well as in the cross discipline of these two fields.

The humankind today is often proclaimed as parasitic and antagonistic to the natural environment from where we drain our resources and energy and where we insert our wastes. Opposite of that belief our intention is to proclaim a benefactor role of the humans in the environment. Most of our wastes are nutritious to various plants, fungi and bacteria and it is a challenge to design and build better architecture that will enable our wastes as nutrients to other species to reach them in the environment. It is a challenge that deals both with research and design.

We are working on changeable and self-sustainable architecture as research and design concepts. The changeability is mainly architectural and engineering challenge, whereas self-sustainability is environmental challenge, seen as aggregation of ecological and social aspects.
